Japanese government ready to provide Ukraine with almost all types of assistance, except for one - President's Office tells about restrictions

Japan is ready to provide Ukraine with all types of support, except for the supply of lethal weapons, and Kyiv understands this position.

Deputy Head of the President's Office Ihor Zhovkva has stated this during a telethon.

According to him, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, who joined the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing on Friday, confirmed Tokyo's intention to continue supporting Ukraine.

"Of course, we understand that Japan cannot provide us with lethal weapons. But it is ready to provide all other types of assistance," the deputy head of the President's Office said.

Zhovkva reminded that on October 14, Japan handed over more than 100 units of special equipment for soil surveys after demining to Ukraine.
