Imports to the Ukrainian power system have increased significantly compared to the previous week.

ExPro announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The report says that during the working week of October 13-17, 56,500 MWh were imported into the Ukrainian power system, which is 64% more than a week earlier (34,000 MWh).

It is noted that the demand for electricity from the EU is steadily growing, but the use of available cross-border interconnectors remains far from maximum.

According to ExPro, such trends may intensify after the introduction of consumption restrictions for the industry.

Also, in all regions of Ukraine, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., power limitation schedules for industrial consumers are in effect.
