Ukraine is preparing a contract for the purchase of 25 Patriot air defense systems. Their deliveries will be distributed over several years - each year the country will receive a different number of systems. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated this, LB.ua reports.

It is reported that some systems are needed urgently, while others will ensure long-term security. The queue for the production of Patriot systems includes several countries that have already signed contracts, but US President Donald Trump can change its order if he has the political will.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that European countries can give Ukraine priority in the queue, and work is underway to obtain the necessary decisions.

"That is, the financial basis for this agreement has been worked out. Of course, we also need to work on another financial source. We have 28 bilateral security agreements with countries today. Finding finances and making prepayments is a task, and it is realistic within the framework of these agreements," the President of Ukraine said.
