On the border with the Dnipropetrovsk Region in the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian troops conducted effective counteroffensive actions and regained control of four settlements that were previously under enemy occupation. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced this at a meeting with journalists, LB.UA reports.

The President noted that the situation in the Novopavlivka sector remains difficult - russian occupants have temporarily seized eight villages on the administrative border with the Dnipropetrovsk Region. At the same time, Ukrainian forces have recaptured four of these settlements and continue to fight to regain control over the remaining territories.

The President also emphasized that there are no russian troops on the outskirts of Lyman.

"The situation in Kupiansk has improved. Pokrovsk is a difficult situation, but a lot is being done to destroy the occupier. On the outskirts of Lyman - someone was constantly spreading disinformation - but there are no Russians there, only our troops, and all attempts of Russians to pass were eliminated," Zelenskyy said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the occupants advanced in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia Regions. DeepState has shown exactly where.

On October 18, the British edition of The Economist wrote about the failure of the summer offensive campaign of the russian army - the territorial gains were scanty, and the losses were huge.
