Putin will get something, Trump on russia's territorial gains

US President Donald Trump said that russian dictator vladimir putin will take back some of the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Trump said this on the American TV channel Fox News.

Trump was asked if he had received any instructions from putin as to how he was open to the idea of ending the war without receiving any Ukrainian territories.

"Well, he will get something. They fought, and he received some territories," the US President replied.

He noted that the US is the only country that "goes in, wins the war, and then leaves." This is what the country did under President George W. Bush during the Iraq War.

"We went in, we blew everyone to hell, we destroyed everything, and then we left. Remember, I said we should leave the oil behind? But at first I said we shouldn't go in there," Trump said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, yesterday, October 18, the American publication The Washington Post wrote that putin, during his last telephone conversation with Trump, allegedly hinted that he was ready to give up part of the occupied territories if russia was given the entire Donetsk Region.

We will remind, the day before, the British publication The Economist wrote about the failure of the summer offensive of the russian army. The russians suffered heavy losses, having received meager territorial gains.
