Thousands of drones in exchange for Tomahawk. Zelenskyy and Trump's main statements during their talks with press

US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a joint press meeting in Washington, D.C., to discuss possible arms cooperation, including Ukrainian drones and American Tomahawk cruise missiles.

Trump said that the United States is interested in purchasing Ukrainian-made drones. "We are interested in Ukrainian drones. They make very good drones. We would like to buy them from them," the American leader said.

At the same time, he added that jet aviation remains an unquestionable US priority. "Nothing beats jet aircraft," Trump emphasized.

In response, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is ready to give the American side "thousands of drones" in exchange for permission to use Tomahawk missiles. "This is why we can cooperate - we can strengthen American production. We have a great offer for our drones," the Ukrainian President emphasized.

Trump replied that he was "interested" in such a proposal. "Yes, I am interested. We make our own drones, but we also buy drones from others, and they [Ukraine] make very good drones," the US President said.

Commenting on the issue of possible supplies of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, Trump clarified that the United States also needs these weapons. "I hope we can end the war without thinking about Tomahawk. I think we're pretty close to that," he said.

The American leader also said that his meeting with russian president vladimir putin in Budapest would be bilateral, but Zelenskyy would participate remotely. "The meeting in Hungary is likely to be two-way. We will contact Zelenskyy," Trump said.

According to the US President, during this meeting he plans to discuss with the russian leader and the Ukrainian pPesident ways to end the war.
