In September, russia lost almost 29,000 soldiers, Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to destroy kremlin's plans - Syrskyi
Ukraine's defense forces continue to hold back the russian occupiers on all fronts, inflicting effective fire damage, destroying manpower and equipment. In September alone, the army of the aggressor country lost almost 29,000 soldiers. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has reported this.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, despite the fact that the situation in the combat areas remains difficult, the enemy does not fully control the strategic initiative. The enemy has made minor advances in certain areas of the frontline only at the cost of huge losses.
"In September alone, the occupiers' losses amounted to almost 29,000 servicemen; 70 tanks, 65 armored combat vehicles, more than 1,050 artillery systems, 6 multiple launch rocket systems and other equipment were destroyed or damaged. Since the beginning of the year, 2,060 Russian servicemen have been captured," he added.
Syrskyi emphasized that the kremlin's plans to seize important areas and settlements are not being implemented, and therefore are constantly being revised and postponed.
"We can state that Ukrainian soldiers have stopped the enemy's spring-summer offensive campaign and continue to destroy the Kremlin's further plans, taking asymmetric measures to offset the enemy's superiority in personnel and weapons," he said.
The Commander-in-Chief also said that Ukrainian troops are taking effective measures for active defense, in the course of which the Defense Forces are conducting counter-offensive operations in certain areas. Also, Ukrainian units are successfully implementing assault operations to restore the lost position. In particular, he noted that Ukrainian soldiers continue to push russian invaders out of the territory of the Sumy Region. Active actions of the Defense Forces continue in the Pokrovsk District of the Donetsk Region. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have made some progress in regaining control over the territory in the Zaporizhzhia Region. There are other parts of the frontline where the enemy has no achievements.
According to Syrskyi, the most effective in all the years of the war is the deep strike on the territory of the russian federation. Thus, within the framework of Deep Strike, military targets, logistics and the energy complex of the aggressor country are destroyed.
"The result of this work is becoming more and more tangible for the Russian army and economy. Since the beginning of the year, 45 facilities of the fuel and energy and military-industrial complex of Russia have been successfully hit. As a result, the total production of fuels and lubricants in Russia has decreased by almost 25%. Every day, the aggressor country loses more than USD 46 million in exports of petroleum products. The defeat of the enemy's rear resources significantly complicates its ability to conduct active hostilities," the Commander-in-Chief noted.
He also spoke about the positive signals of new military assistance packages from the allies.
"In particular, the supply of precision weapons such as Tomahawk cruise missiles and other modern systems is being discussed. Their use will significantly strengthen the coercion of the Russian aggressor to end the war and establish a just peace," Syrskyi concluded.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, British intelligence named the losses of the russian federation since the beginning of the year and for the entire period of the full-scale war.
