Additional helicopter groups to be formed to protect against russian drones - Zelenskyy

Additional helicopter groups will be formed in Ukraine to protect against russian drones. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky following the results of the Staff meeting.

"Military issues: we have determined how to expand the capabilities of army aviation to protect against drones. Additional helicopter groups will be formed. We are working with partners to provide Ukraine with more types of aircraft it needs. There were reports on cooperation with companies that manufacture interceptor drones - maximum production volumes are needed," he wrote.

According to the President, the number one issue at the Staff was the protection and restoration of the energy sector. The most difficult situation is in frontline communities and near the border with russia - where russian strike drones and missiles have the shortest flight time.

But despite all the threats, work continues in these communities to restore energy supply, Zelenskyy said.

"We worked separately on the issues of recovery in Odesa and the region - many mistakes of local leaders. There were also reports on Kyiv and the region, on the Dnipropetrovsk Region. Constant attention - Kharkiv and the region, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson, Poltava and the region. For each other region of our country, we have clear data - the necessary equipment, the necessary work, the necessary financing. The corresponding instructions have been made for each direction," Zelenskyy added.

Recall, earlier Zelenskyy said that Ukraine would nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize if he manages to stop putin.
