Kyiv to cover burial costs for civilians killed in russian attacks on capital - Kyiv City State Administration

The burial of civilians killed in russian attacks on Kyiv will be carried out at the expense of the city budget until the end of martial law. This is announced in a statement by the Kyiv City State Administration, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Kyiv will cover the costs for the burial of people who were killed in the capital as a result of hostile shelling and destruction caused by the military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine. This decision was made at a plenary session of the Kyiv City Council," the statement says.

It is noted that currently Ukrainian legislation does not guarantee free burial of civilians who were killed as a result of military actions, so Kyiv is filling this social gap, taking an example from the practices of other cities and communities where such programs already operate.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, 4 people wre killed in Kyiv as a result of the russian attack on the night of September 28.
