Due to drone and missile threat, training centers are moving inland - Syrskyi
Drone and missile threats are causing training centers to move inland, as far away from the front line as possible. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has announced this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"Given the drone and missile threat, work is underway to strengthen the security of training centers. They are increasingly moving inland, as far away from the front line as possible. In this regard, the task is to ensure high standards of training also in remote locations," he said.
The Chief of Staff said that during the meeting a constructive conversation was held on the quality control of training in training centers, optimization of their organizational structure, deployment of the basic combined arms training on the funds of mechanized brigades, the role of army corps in training.
Syrskyi noted that now the combined arms training (BCAT) lasts 51 days, includes an anti-drone course and other elements that meet the requirements of modern technological warfare.
As a result of the meeting, Syrskyi set tasks, including preparing for the operation of training centers in the winter.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Syrskyi informed about significantly strengthened security measures at the training centers over the summer.
In September, russia launched a combined attack on the territory of one of the training units of the Ukrainian Army, including hitting a shelter, which resulted in casualties among the personnel.
