In September, Ukraine ups electricity exports by 41% to 635,000 MWh
In September, compared to August, Ukraine increased electricity exports by 41% to 635,000 MWh ExPro, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The report says that this figure is a record since the beginning of integration with ENTSO-E.
Most electricity was exported to Hungary, 40% of all volumes Exports to Poland in September amounted to 97,300 MWh, which is almost 5 times more than in the previous month.
For comparison, electricity exports in September 2024 were minimal - only 764 MWh.
However, since the beginning of October, electricity exports have significantly decreased due to colder weather and cloudy conditions.
Electricity imports in September 2025 decreased by 47% compared to the previous month - to almost 140,000 MWh.
It is noted that Hungary continues to account for the largest share in the import structure - 58%.
In general, imports decreased in all directions, and there were practically no deliveries from Slovakia due to the repair of the line.
Electricity imports from Moldova decreased significantly, by 80%.
Compared to September 2024, imports decreased by almost 70%.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in August, compared to July, Ukraine increased electricity exports by 60% to 450,000 MWh.
