The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleh Hryhorov has announced this on Telegram.
At night, the enemy targeted a residential building in the village of Chernechchyna, Krasnopillia community, where a couple with two small children lived.
"Unfortunately, no one managed to escape," Hryhorov said.
Rescuers unblocked the bodies of four victims from the rubble - parents and their sons aged 6 and 4.
"I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the family. The death of the family in Chernechchynais a tragedy that we will never forget and will not forgive," the head of the Regional Military Administration wrote.
Updated September 30 at 8:45 a.m. The National Police of Ukraine reported that 27 attacks on 22 settlements in the region were recorded over the past day. Five people were killed - a couple with two sons and another civilian. In total, an apartment building, a utility company building, private households and a car were damaged.
