Zelenskyy says that Trump's position on Ukraine is balanced
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the position of US President Donald Trump on the russian-Ukrainian war balanced and supportive of Ukraine's position.
He said this during the Warsaw Security Forum, The Guardian reports.
When asked by a journalist about Trump's position on Ukraine, Zelenskyy replied that "President Trump's position is really balanced and supportive of Ukraine's position," because he seeks peace.
Also, the publication notes, commenting on Trump's new, at first glance, tough position on russia, the Ukrainian President said:
"Our task today is to preserve the new US attitude to this war, so that it corresponds to the attitude of Europe."
In addition, when asked whether Zelenskyy is ready to make territorial concessions to end the war, he repeated that Ukraine's borders are defined by its constitution.
"Russia will not establish new borders in Ukraine," he said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, also during the Warsaw Security Forum, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that russian leader vladimir putin does not want peace, so European allies need to focus on strengthening Ukraine.
