Netanyahu, Trump to meet at White House to discuss plan to end Gaza war
Today, September 29, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with US President Donald Trump. They will hold a lunch and a meeting, as well as a joint press conference.
This was reported by The Times of Israel, citing a schedule released by the White House.
It is noted that Netanyahu's fourth trip to the White House since Trump returned to office in January will be dedicated to the US President's 21-point plan to end the war in Gaza, establish a post-war management mechanism and return the 48 hostages held by the terrorist group, of whom about 20 are believed to remain alive.
Netanyahu spent Sunday, September 28, meeting with advisers at his hotel in preparation for his visit to the White House.
According to the program, the meeting will begin at 11:00 local time (06:00 pm Kyiv time), when Trump will meet Netanyahu. The leaders will then hold a meeting and have lunch, followed by a press conference scheduled for 13:15.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, stated that US President Donald Trump used an obscene expletive to express his disappointment with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the strike on Qatar, when Hamas leaders were there.
