Sybiha visits Warsaw today: what meetings are planned
Today, September 29, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will pay a working visit to Warsaw (Poland). A number of bilateral and multilateral meetings with European and Euro-Atlantic partners are planned, as well as participation in the 12th Warsaw Security Forum.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Thus, at the invitation of Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radosław Sikorski, the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will take part in the ministerial meeting of the Weimar+ format with the participation of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Germany, France and Ukraine.
In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will hold bilateral meetings:
- with Ms. Marshal of the Polish Senate Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska,
- Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Noël Barrot,
- Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Johann Wadephul,
- President of the NATO PA Marcos Perestrello,
- IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi,
- and others.
In addition, within the framework of the Warsaw Security Forum, the Minister will take part in the panel discussion "Raising the stakes: should Europe be afraid?" together with his Polish, French and German colleagues.
"The Minister's working visit will be focused on mobilizing transatlantic support for Ukraine and increasing pressure on the aggressor, the path to sustainable peace, Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and building good neighborliness in Central and Eastern Europe," the press service concluded.
Reference. Weimar+ is an expanded format of cooperation based on the so-called Weimar Triangle - an informal alliance of France, Germany and Poland, created back in 1991 to coordinate policy within Europe.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Polish embassy building in Kyiv was damaged as a result of a massive attack by the aggressor country of russia on September 28.
Meanwhile, Polish President Karol Nawrocki signed a bill to extend special assistance to Ukrainian citizens. At the same time, it limits benefits for unemployed Ukrainians.
