King Charles III changed Trump's position on Ukraine - The Telegraph reporters tell how it was possible

King Charles III of the United Kingdom played a decisive role in convincing US President Donald Trump that Ukraine can win the war against russia.

According to the British newspaper The Telegraph, citing sources, personal talks with the King during Trump's recent visit to the UK were "very important".

Diplomatic sources suggest that it is no coincidence that Trump's decision changed so soon after his conversations with the King. It is believed that the monarch discussed Ukraine in personal meetings with the US President during his visit.

The King received the Trump couple at Windsor Castle, had lunch and dinner with them, and also accompanied them throughout the day of events. In his speech at a state banquet, he mentioned Ukraine once. Addressing the president, he said: "Our countries have the closest defence, security and intelligence relationship ever known. In two World Wars, we fought together to defeat the forces of tyranny. Today, as tyranny once again threatens Europe, we and our allies stand together in support of Ukraine, to deter aggression and secure peace."

"Trump, an Anglophile and admirer of the royal family, was delighted with the hospitality extended to him by the King, calling Charles III "a very, very special man" in his speech at the dinner," the publication wrote.

In addition, the publication noted that, according to diplomatic sources, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio assured European colleagues that Trump's change in rhetoric on Ukraine should be viewed "as positively as possible."
