Traffic will be stopped on central streets of Kyiv Region for minute of silence
Traffic will be stopped on the central streets of the Kyiv Region every day at nine in the morning to hold a nationwide minute of silence. This is stated in the message of the Telegram channel of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration on Monday, September 22.
Starting this week, traffic will be stopped on the central streets of the Kyiv region at 9 in the morning to honor the memory of those who died in the war of the aggressor country russia against Ukraine.
"Starting this week, traffic will be stopped on the central streets of the settlements of the Kyiv Region every day at 9:00 a.m. One minute. Sixty seconds of silence. But in this silence — louder than any words — sounds boundless gratitude to those who laid down their lives for the independence of Ukraine," the Kyiv Regional Military Administration statement said.
The relevant issue was discussed in the Kyiv Region during the forum "Shoulder-to-Shoulder with Veterans" with the participation of veterans themselves, community leaders, government officials, parliamentarians, business and the public sector. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration emphasized that the minute of silence is part of the formation of a new ethic of interaction with the Defenders of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, starting this week, Khreshchatyk will be blocked daily in Kyiv at 09:00 a.m. for a minute of silence.
Starting April 1, the minute of silence will be announced on billboards and city lights in Kyiv.
