Archive with Ukrainian's data appeared on network: Digital Transformation Ministry denies leak from Diia
An archive with personal data of more than 20 million Ukrainians, which were allegedly stolen from the Diia application, was discovered in the public domain.
This was reported by MP Oleksandr Fedienko.
According to him, the file called "diia_users_db_2025.zip" allegedly contains data collected from various financial institutions and state registers, in particular those related to the tax service. The MP noted that the database also includes people who have never used the Diia application. Some of the information can be downloaded for free, while full access is offered for purchase.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation denied the leak of data from Diia. Deputy Minister for Cybersecurity Vitalii Balashov stated that the distributed files do not come from the application's systems and are a falsification.
The department explained that it is a combination of old leaks from commercial sources, which were supplemented with fake records to create the appearance of a new database. The Ministry of Digital Transformation considers this an attempt to discredit Diia and undermine trust in state services.
The ministry also emphasized that Diia does not store personal data: information is pulled from state registers at the time of the request and is not accumulated in the application or on the portal.
Recall that the other day the Ministry of Justice denied the leakage of personal data of Ukrainians during testing of the e-Notariat system.
