King Charles III expresses support for Ukraine during meeting with Trump
King of Great Britain Charles III during a state dinner with US President Donald Trump confirmed support for Ukraine.
The monarch noted "Trump's personal commitment to finding solutions to complex international conflicts for peace."
"At a time when tyranny again threatens Europe, we and our allies unite in support of Ukraine to deter aggression and ensure peace," the British King said.
Trump arrived in the UK on the evening of September 16. He became the first American President to make two state visits to the country. Such visits are the highest level of diplomatic events and include the participation of the monarch and a multi-day program.
According to media reports, Trump's visit may become a basis for the government of Prime Minister Keir Starmer in efforts to persuade Washington to increase pressure on russia in order to achieve peace in Ukraine.
Recall that the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, was criticized for violating royal protocol: she did not curtsy to either Princess Kate or Queen Camilla.
Meanwhile, thousands of people gathered on the streets of London to protest against the visit of US President Donald Trump to the United Kingdom, which began on September 17. The Trumps are currently meeting with the British monarchs in Windsor.
During his visit to the United Kingdom, Donald Trump came under a barrage of criticism on social networks because he walked ahead of King Charles during the inspection of the guard of honor.
