NBU to transfer record UAH 146 billion of profit to state budget in 2026 - draft law

The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to the Verkhovna Rada to oblige the National Bank to transfer UAH 146 billion of profit to the state budget in 2026.

This is stated in the draft law on the state budget for 2026, No. 14000, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is proposed to establish that in 2026 the NBU, in the manner and in the amounts determined by the law "On the National Bank of Ukraine", transfers to the state budget of Ukraine the amount of part of the profit to be distributed of no less than UAH 146 billion.

The funds will be transferred according to the schedule approved by the Ministry of Finance.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2020 the National Bank transferred UAH 42.7 billion of profit to the state budget in one payment, in 2021 - UAH 24.43 billion, in 2022 - UAH 19 billion, in 2023 - UAH 71.9 billion, in 2024 - UAH 38.6 billion, in 2025 - a historical maximum of UAH 84.2 billion.

The hryvnia exchange rate set in the budget for next year is 45.6 UAH/USD, inflation is 9.9% (December to December), GDP growth is expected next year at 2.4%.
