Cabinet suggests Rada increase subsistence minimum by UAH 289 to UAH 3,209 from next year
The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to the Verkhovna Rada to increase the subsistence minimum by UAH 289 to UAH 3,209 from 2026.
This is stated in draft law No. 14000 registered in the parliament on September 15, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is assumed that the subsistence minimum will increase from January 1 and will amount to UAH 3,209.
For the main social and demographic groups of the population: children under 6 years old - UAH 2,817; children from 6 to 18 years old - UAH 3,512; able-bodied persons - UAH 3,328.
The draft state budget 2026 provides for a minimum salary of UAH 8,647 and UAH 52 per hour.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the hryvnia exchange rate set in the budget for next year is 45.6 UAH/USD, inflation is 9.9% (December to December), and GDP growth is expected to be 2.4% next year.
