UPG wants to lease 75 gas stations previously belonged to Privat group
The UPG gas station network has submitted a request to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) to lease another 75 gas stations that were previously part of the so-called Privat group. The consideration of the applications is scheduled for September 4, the Antimonopoly Committee reported.
These are gas stations that operated under the Avias and ANP brands and are distributed among 14 companies. Among the beneficiaries of these structures, according to YouControl, is Yurii Kiperman, the father of businessman Mykhailo Kiperman, who manages the Privat group gas station network.
Before the full-scale war, Privat's fuel network was the largest in Ukraine and had more than 1,500 gas stations under various brands.
If the Antimonopoly Committee approves the applications, the UPG network will grow to 289 gas stations. UPG is the fifth largest fuel sales company in Ukraine after OKKO, WOG, Ukrnafta and BRSM-Nafta.
In July and August, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has already allowed the company to lease over 90 gas stations, which also previously belonged to the Privat Group.
As previously reported, in August, the Antimonopoly Committee allowed UPG to lease another 47 Privat gas stations.
