Alleged murderer of Parubiy detained in Khmelnytskyi Region at night - Klymenko
A man who is likely the murderer of MP Andriy Parubiy was detained in the Khmelnytskyi Region. This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko in his Telegram channel.
According to him, 24 hours after the murder, they already got on the direct trail of the shooter, and 36 hours later - he was detained. More details will be provided later.
"The alleged shooter was detained a few minutes ago in the Khmelnytskyi Region. There will be no many details now. I will only say that the crime was carefully prepared: the schedule of the deceased's movements was studied, the route was laid, and an escape plan was thought out," Klymenko said.
Recall, on August 30, an unknown person killed MP and former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy in Lviv. He fired about 8 shots from a short-barreled firearm.
Parubiy will be buried on September 2 at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.
The State Guard Administration also explained why Parubiy did not have security at that moment.
