"There (in the West - ed.) propaganda, of course, works, making brainwash and say that we started the war. And they forget that they themselves started the war when they started using tanks and aircraft against the civilian population of Donbas. Then the war began," said the russian dictator, quoted by the propaganda website TASS.

During his working trip to Sarov, putin also discussed the development of the nuclear sphere, international scientific cooperation in the context of the war with Ukraine, as well as negotiations with US President Donald Trump in Alaska.
