Ukraine returns bodies of 1,000 killed, some of whom died in captivity - Coordination Headquarters

The bodies of 1,000 killed, which, according to the russian side, belong to Ukrainian servicemen, have been returned to Ukraine. This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War on Tuesday, June 19.

Today, the bodies of 1,000 killed were returned to Ukraine within the framework of previous agreements.

"Unfortunately, among the repatriated there are 5 bodies of Ukrainian servicemen who died in captivity. They were on the lists of "seriously wounded and seriously ill" prisoners for exchange in accordance with the agreements in Istanbul during the second round of negotiations. The russian side continues to delay and does not fulfill its obligations," the message says.

On June 13, the bodies of another 1,200 killed were returned to Ukraine.

As we recall, on June 7, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War responded that the statements of the russian side do not correspond to reality and previous agreements.
