The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) completed the consideration of 6 appeals by lawyers and the prosecutor against the ruling of the investigating judge of the HACC dated August 20, 2024, which canceled the notification of suspicion, as well as 5 appeals by defense lawyers against the ruling of the HACC dated March 19, 2025 on the refusal to satisfy the complaint against the notification of a change in the previously reported suspicion. The indicated appeals were considered within the framework of the joint legal proceedings against the former MP of Ukraine Oleksandr Hranovskyi, who is outside the country.

This was announced by the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Following the results of the consideration, the panel of judges of the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court satisfied the prosecutor's appeal and canceled the ruling of the investigating judge of the HACC dated August 20, 2024 and ruled a new one, which refused to satisfy the lawyer's complaint about the notification of suspicion. The appeals of the defenders were left unsatisfied.

The panel of judges of the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court also left unsatisfied the appeals of the defenders against the decision of the HACC dated March 19, 2025, and the decision of the investigating judge unchanged. The decision is final, enters into force from the moment of its announcement and is not subject to appeal in cassation.

According to the pre-trial investigation body, Hranovskyi is suspected of organizing a corruption scheme that caused damage to a state-owned chemical industry enterprise (Part 3 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Recall that the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court granted permission to conduct a special pre-trial investigation against Hranovskyi.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, NABU and SAPO have completed the investigation against former MP Hranovskyi in the embezzlement of funds from the Odesa Port Plant. The Court of Appeals upheld the appeal of the SAPO prosecutor and overturned the ruling of the investigating judge of the HACC of Ukraine dated February 23, 2024, which refused to grant the motion to conduct a special pre-trial investigation (in absentia).
