Fight against drops must continue - Hetmantsev

Danylo Hetmantsev, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction, chairman of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, believes that the fight against drops must continue.

He said this in an interview with the Ukrainian News Agency.

"I know that the NBU is preparing legislative changes to combat these problems. We will study it, but this fight must continue in the future," the MP said.

At the same time, he noted that drops are a "shadow", and they can be counted very approximately.

"The problem of drops exists, it allows you to evade taxes, as well as finance terrorism. We support the NBU in the fight against this scourge. As we see now, due to the introduction of limits on transfers of one kind or another, less than 1% of transactions have been subject to restrictions," Hetmantsev concluded.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, new restrictions on card money transfers came into effect in Ukraine from June 1, 2025.

For medium and low-risk clients, the monthly limit has been reduced from UAH 150,000 to UAH 100,000 per month.

High-risk clients will be able to transfer up to UAH 50,000 per month, the limit remains unchanged.
