Defense Ministry in July admits 8 ground robotic complexes to service
During July, the Ministry of Defense codified and allowed 8 new ground robotic complexes to be operated in the Defense Forces, all of them of Ukrainian production. The Ministry of Defense has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Most of the ground robotic complexes allowed to be operated in July are capable of performing logistical, special tasks, and evacuating the wounded.
"Among the novelties of July are universal multifunctional platforms. Ukrainian ground robots are designed on tracked or wheeled chassis, equipped with modern communication and video transmission systems. They operate in various weather conditions and are capable of covering considerable distances," the report says.
Since the beginning of 2025, the Ministry of Defense has codified and allowed for operation a total of 40 Ukrainian-made UAVs, in 2024 almost 60 UAVs were allowed for operation, in 2023 – 13.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in August, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said that the formation of units of robotic ground complexes is another step in the development of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
