And where is "Ukrainian trace"?: new tugboat joined russian underwater fleet in St. Petersburg
A new tugboat "Kapitan Ushakov" sank in one of the ports of the russian St. Petersburg near the shipyard's berth.
Russian media reported this, also publishing a video showing the russian tugboat lying on its side.
The vessel belongs to the Yaroslavl Shipbuilding Plant. On the evening of August 8, the tugboat tilted - the city's special services and the Baltic Shipyard's duty services worked at the scene.
"The fight for the vessel raged all night. The Baltic Shipyard employees helped their colleagues stop the roll," Alexander Lebedev, head of the Baltic Shipyard's public relations department, told the local Fontanka website.
Russian investigators are trying to establish the circumstances under which the tugboat sank. An investigative check is being conducted under the article on violation of safety rules during construction work. The russian Investigative Committee clarified that the compartments of auxiliary mechanisms were flooded. There were no casualties. Experts are establishing the amount of damage.
"Kapitan Ushakov" did not expose itself to Ukrainian missiles and drones, but drowned itself, repeating the well-known "feats" of russian sailors - the self-sinking of the "Varyag", two self-sinkings of the Black Sea Fleet, the self-sinking and surrender of the squadron at Tsushima," noted reporter Yurii Butusov.
