Russians turning destroyed Donetsk airport into launch pad for strike drones — OSINT analysts

At the russian-controlled Serhii Prokofiev Donetsk International Airport, the occupiers are working to convert the facility into a launch pad for strike drones of the Shahed type.

The Ukrainian OSINT project CyberBoroshno reported this on Saturday, August 2.

The analysts studied satellite images of the airport and found that the russians are setting up infrastructure for the use of strike drones on its territory.

The analysts found that the russians are building drone storage areas near the destroyed building of the new terminal.

Also, UAV manual control points, places for unloading drone warheads, air surveillance points and false targets are being created on the airport territory.

Besides, the occupiers are preparing a runway. This indicates that the russians want to use the airport territory for launching jet modifications of the Shaheds.
