Air defense forces neutralize 291 air targets during night attack by russia

On the night of Thursday, July 31, russian troops launched 8 cruise missiles and 309 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to neutralize 291 air targets.

The press service of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

It is noted that on the night of July 31 (from 6 p.m. on July 30), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 317 air attack means (309 UAVs, 8 cruise missiles):

- 309 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Bryansk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – russian federation;

- 8 Iskander-K cruise missiles from the Kursk Oblast, russian federation.

The main target of the strike was the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv.

"According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., 291 enemy air attack means were shot down by air defense systems /suppressed by EW:

- 288 attack UAVs;

- 3 Iskander-K cruise missiles," the report says.

Direct hits of 5 missiles (one of them into a residential building in Kyiv) and 21 attack UAVs were recorded in 12 locations, as well as the fall of downed ones (fragments) in 19 locations, almost all in the capital.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of July 30, the russians launched 78 drones over the territory of Ukraine, and air defense forces managed to neutralize 51 of them.
