Railway infrastructure damaged in Kyiv due to russian attack

Railway infrastructure in one of Kyiv's districts was damaged as a result of russian shelling on the night of July 31.

It was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.

"Due to the nighttime enemy shelling of the capital, we have damage to the railway infrastructure in one of the city's districts. Movement on this section is temporarily carried out by diesel locomotives," the message says.

It is noted that employees and passengers were not injured.

The company reported that long-distance trains are running according to the schedule, but there may be minor deviations from the Kyiv City Express train schedule in the direction from Sviatoshyno to Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station. However, it was expected that full movement on the section would be restored around 9 a.m.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed that on the night of Thursday, July 31, the aggressor country russia attacked Ukraine with more than 300 drones and eight missiles. The main target was Kyiv. All necessary services are currently working at the sites of enemy strikes: rescuers, firefighters, and medics.
