Justice Ministry shows consequences of russian attack on correctional colony in Zaporizhzhia Region
On the night of July 28, the army of the aggressor state russia struck the Bilenkivska correctional colony in the Zaporizhzhia Region with guided aerial bombs. The dining room was completely destroyed, the administrative headquarters and the quarantine area were significantly damaged. The attack killed 17 convicts and injured 42 people.

According to the Ministry of Justice, at approximately 11:28 p.m. on July 28, the russian armed forces carried out an air strike on the territory of the Bilenkivska correctional colony using four guided aerial bombs (KABs). As a result of the attack, the institution's dining room was completely destroyed, the administrative headquarters and the quarantine area were significantly damaged.
It is known that 17 convicts were killed, another 42 were injured. The seriously injured were hospitalized in hospitals of the Ministry of Health. Another 40 people received injuries of varying severity, one employee of the institution received minor injuries (fragmentation of the face).
It is reported that all the injured were provided with medical assistance, they are under supervision in the medical unit, the duty unit and other departments of the institution.
Meanwhile, about 50 security officers of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine were involved in ensuring order in the institution. The perimeter of the institution was not damaged, there is no threat of escape.
"This strike once again demonstrates a gross violation of international humanitarian law by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. The shelling of civilian infrastructure, in particular penitentiary institutions, is regarded as a war crime," the Ministry of Justice emphasized.
Recall that russian troops launched a series of strikes on the Zaporizhzhia Region at night, one of which hit a penitentiary. As a result of the strike, the premises of the institution were destroyed, and private houses located nearby were damaged.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of July 29, russian occupiers also attacked the Mykolaiv Region with drones. Warehouses caught fire, and a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of an agricultural enterprise.
In addition, three people were killed and there are injured as a result of a russian missile attack on the city of Kamianske.
