Biggest deal ever made: Trump hails EU trade deal
US President Donald Trump has described the agreement reached with the European Union on renewed trade terms as "the biggest deal ever made," CNN reports.
On Sunday, Trump, along with EU leaders, confirmed a framework agreement on a new trade deal after lengthy and difficult negotiations in previous months, which includes 15 percent tariffs on most European imports, including autos, medicines and semiconductors.
Trump also said that the EU had agreed to purchase USD 750 billion in energy from the United States and invest USD 600 billion.
Trump described the agreement as "the biggest deal ever made."
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 27, US President Donald Trump and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen agreed on the framework of a new trade deal.
