US special forces raid in Syria ends with death of senior ISIS leader and his sons
US Central Command announced the elimination of senior ISIS leader Dhiya' Zawba Muslih al-Hardani and his two adult sons in Aleppo, Syria.
This was reported by the official CENTCOM Forces page on the X social network.
The military notes that these militants posed a threat to US and coalition forces, as well as to the new Syrian government.
According to US Central Command, three other women and three children were at the facility they attacked. They were not injured.
"We will continue to relentlessly pursue ISIS terrorists wherever they are. ISIS terrorists are at risk where they sleep, where they operate, and where they hide. Together with our partners and allies, U.S. Central Command is committed to the ultimate defeat of ISIS terrorists, who threaten the region, our allies, and our homeland," said Michael Erik Kurilla, commander of U.S. Central Command.
