"This proposed sale will contribute to the achievement of US foreign policy and national security objectives by enhancing the security of a partner country that is a driving force for political stability and economic progress in Europe," the Agency noted.

It is noted that at this time the US government has no information about any compensation agreements proposed in connection with this transfer of equipment. Any compensation agreements will be determined during negotiations between the buyer and the contractor.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 14, US President Donald Trump announced that Ukraine would receive 17 MIM-104 Patriot air defense systems.

NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Alexus Hrynkevich confirmed that preparations for the delivery of Patriot to Ukraine are underway. He reported on the instruction to do this as soon as possible.
