Deputy Defense Minister and head of Reserve+ and Army+ Kateryna Chernohorenko resigns

Deputy Minister of Defense Kateryna Chernohorenko for Digitalization and Head of the Reserve+ and Army+ Projects is resigning. She announced this on Facebook.

"I had the honor of leading the digitalization direction for almost two years. The most difficult and responsible job in my life. The coolest team that was not afraid of any challenges, generated new ideas, implemented a completely different approach to the transformation of services. We did not digitize chaos. We created tools that strengthen defense, provide efficiency, humanity, and freedom of choice," she wrote.

Chernohorenko also spoke about the achievements of her department during her management of the Reserve+ and Army+ projects. Thus, more than four and a half million users of the Reserve+ application were mentioned, data updates without territorial recruitment and social support centers and an electronic military document that is always at hand, online deferrals, electronic referrals to the military medical commission, personalized recruiting and one hundred and ten thousand responses to vacancies in the Defense Forces.

Among the achievements of the Army+ application, Chernohorenko mentioned more than 840,000 servicemen who joined it, electronic reports in a few clicks, online training on various topics and the first online military surveys in 34 years of independence.

Among all, Kateryna Chernohorenko thanked her team, partners and the military for their joint work on digital transformation in the Ministry of Defense and stated that the Ministry of Defense will no longer be able to do without digitalization, and she hopes that her successors will continue this pace, because it is innovations that lead to victory.

In 2006-2018, Chernohorenko worked as a lawyer and advocate. In 2019, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine launched eMaliatko, an electronic hospital and COVID certificate in Diia. In July 2022, she headed the Army of Drones project. Since 2023, she has been an advisor to the Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine (on a voluntary basis). Since September 2023, she has been the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digitalization.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, a new service has been launched in the Reserve+ application. From now on, military conscripts can pay a fine for failure to clarify data by July 16, 2024 online with a 50% discount, without queues and papers. This will allow for the prompt closure of an administrative violation case and the removal of the red tape from the document in the application.

Previously, Reserve+ had the functions of displaying disability in an electronic military document and saving the old version of this document after updating.
