Chubby Zeus - leopard from Poltava Region conquersing social networks

The chubby big cat is well known to Kremenchuk residents and collecting tens of millions of views on TikTok.

In 2001, Oleksandr was offered a kitten that his mother had refused. At first, he searched the Internet for someone like a serval, but could not find one. Instead, he came across leopard owners from Kharkiv, who were in a hurry to adopt the little one and brought it to Poltava without hesitation.

"He was small and very beautiful. We could not say that we did not want him," Oleksandr said in an interview with Kremenchuk Telegraf.

Little Zeus initially slept in bed with the children. He was toilet-trained very quickly - within a month.

"We put him on a potty, and he started using pellets. And he still does," the owner said.

When Zeus grew up, Oleksandr forbade children from playing with him unsupervised. Not because of aggression, he says, but because the massive cat can simply take down with its weight.

Cats have always been the kings of social networks, and the well-fed Zeus instantly won the hearts of users. More than 400,000 fans have subscribed to his TikTok account, and the videos have been viewed tens of millions of times. Some viewers initially mistakenly believe that Zeus is a jaguar, because of his wide spots. But others correct them: Zeus is a leopard, just well-fed, and given his lying down walks, he is also energy-saving. If it weren't for the crows, he would have known no sorrow!

Zeus is not Oleksandr's only pet. There is also a monkey named Alex, a Yorkshire Terrier, a raven that terrorizes Zeus, and recently a little lioness named Malika.

We previously wrote about the pet fox Foksik, another social media star. At the time, we mistakenly assumed that he lived in the Kherson Region based on the license plate number of his owner Vitalii. However, we later noticed that the red-haired animal has a passport that states that he is from the Khmelnytskyi Region.
