Rada extends martial law and mobilization until November 5

The Verkhovna Rada has extended the term of martial law and general mobilization from August 7 for 90 days, that is, until November 5, 2025.

Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a Member of Parliament from the Holos faction, announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The Rada has approved the extension of martial law and general mobilization for the 16th time," he said.

The corresponding bills No. 13471 (extension of martial law) and 13472 (general mobilization) were voted for by 320 and 304 parliamentarians, respectively, with the minimum required 226.

The bills approve the decrees No. 478 and No. 479 of July 14, already signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on the extension of martial law in Ukraine and the period of general mobilization from August 7, 2025 for 90 days.

This is the 16th vote of the parliament on these issues.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 14, Zelenskyy proposed to the Rada to extend martial law and mobilization until November.

On April 16, the Verkhovna Rada extended martial law and mobilization from May 9 for 90 days, i.e. until August 7, 2025.

On February 24, 2022, the Rada approved Zelenskyy's introduction of martial law in connection with russia's start of the war and the announcement and conduct of general mobilization.
