The main blow of the aggressor country russia on the night of Wednesday, July 16, was on Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Odesa Regions, one of the targets was energy infrastructure. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The elimination of the consequences of the night russian shelling is ongoing. The main blow was on the Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Odesa Regions. One of the targets was, in particular, energy infrastructure. Now they are trying their best to restore everything in Kryvyi Rih, the power supply will be restored today. Unfortunately, 15 people were injured, including one child. Everyone is being provided with the necessary medical care," he said.

Zelenskyy noted the soldiers of the Air Forces, Army Aviation, Naval Aviation, unmanned systems units, anti-aircraft missile troops, Navy air defense, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, thanks to which about 200 drones were shot down, more than 140 did not reach their targets.

The President noted that russia is not changing its strategy, and to effectively counter this terror, Ukraine needs a systematic strengthening of defense: more air defense, more interceptors, more determination so that russia feels the response to its aggression and terror.

In turn, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported on the Telegram channel that Kharkiv suffered a massive strike that night, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed there.

The enemy hit Kryvyi Rih with ballistic missiles, an industrial enterprise was destroyed, and there are interruptions in electricity and water supply.

Vinnytsia and Vinnytsia region were also under night shelling, there is damage to civilian infrastructure in the city, and residential buildings were hit in the region.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that russian troops launched one missile and 400 drones over the territory of Ukraine on the night of Wednesday, July 16, the air defense forces managed to shoot down 198 of them, another 145 drones were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare. 1 missile and 57 UAVs hit in 12 locations.
