US President Donald Trump has announced his intention to significantly increase the supply of weapons to his NATO allies.
They will then transfer them to Ukraine.
According to the Axios portal, the US will first sell weapons worth USD 10 billion to NATO countries.
The portal's unnamed sources told the portal that the supplies will include air defense systems, artillery shells and missiles.
The US will first sell this weaponry to NATO countries. After that, it will be sent to the Ukrainian army.
Axios notes that this is a radical turn in Trump's policy, which initially refused to support Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier today, July 14, US President Trump said that Ukraine would receive 17 MIM-104 Patriot air defense systems. Some of them will arrive in the coming days.
In addition, Military Watch Magazine wrote, citing its sources, that Trump is considering the possibility of transferring JASSM cruise missiles to Ukraine.
