FPV drone simulators, turnstiles and shooting simulators. Education Ministry approves list of equipment for subject Defense of Ukraine
Among the approved equipment for teaching the subject "Defense of Ukraine" in secondary educational institutions of Ukraine, the updated list includes FPV drone simulators, shooting simulators, drones for practical training and tablets. This is reported on the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine's website.
"The updated equipment will allow students to teach life-saving first aid skills, prepare them to use modern technologies in the field of security, develop critical thinking and resistance to disinformation, and form practical skills for action in emergency situations," the ministry said.
The list includes:
- simulators for controlling FPV drones with computers,
- interactive laser shooting simulators,
- tablets for training and modern multimedia equipment.
Also provided are:
- dummies for training in resuscitation and first aid,
- tourniquets and means of stopping bleeding, tactical medicine kits,
- simulators for practicing skills in providing assistance in case of injuries.
Among the means of protection:
- updated helmets and bulletproof vests,
- gas masks with quality certificates,
- chemical protection equipment.
Among the technical means:
- drones for practical training,
- radio stations for studying the basics of communication,
- elements of the training track.
The Ministry of Education and Science also reminds that the subject "Defense of Ukraine" was radically updated in 2024. Instead of formal drills, students now undergo intensive 6–8-hour practical training once a month in specially equipped centers. The program covers home medical care, drone control, cybersecurity, countering disinformation, and emergency response.

The Ministry of Education and Science also states that the basic military training course for students, which will be taught at universities from September 1, should not be mandatory.
