Ukrainian air defense neutralized 20 drones out of 60 launched by russia at night, there are hits – Air Forces

The Ukrainian air defense and electronic warfare units intercepted and destroyed 20 drones out of 60 launched by russia into the territory of Ukraine.

The Air Forces Command has reported this on Telegram.

"Over the past day (from 2 p.m. on July 12) and during the current day on July 13, the invaders attacked with 60 Shahed-type strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions: Kursk, Millerovo - the Russian Federation (up to 40 of them – Shaheds). During the day, the enemy attacked the rear regions (more than 20 Shaheds) with strike UAVs, at night – the front-line territories of the Donetsk, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk Regions," the message says.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m., air defense shot down 20 enemy Shahed UAVs (other types of UAVs) in the north, east, west, and center of the country. In addition, 20 simulator drones were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare. 20 UAVs hit in 5 locations.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Saturday, July 12, air defense forces shot down 319 russian Shahed UAVs and 25 Kh-101 cruise missiles.

One of the main targets of the russian armed forces during a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of July 9 was a military airfield in the Volyn Region.
