International Criminal Court reports cyberattack
Late last week, the International Criminal Court (ICC) identified a new, sophisticated and targeted cybersecurity incident that has now been contained.
The ICC press service reported this on June 30.
"This incident, the second such incident against the ICC in recent years, was quickly identified, confirmed and contained through the Court's notification and response mechanisms," the statement said.
It noted that an analysis of the impact of the incident on the entire Court is currently underway, and measures are already being taken to mitigate any consequences of this incident.
"The Court considers it necessary to inform the public and States Parties about such incidents, as well as about efforts to address them, and calls for continued support in the face of such challenges. Such support ensures the Court's ability to fulfill its critical mandate of justice and accountability, which is a shared responsibility of all States Parties," the ICC explained.
As a reminder, on January 1, 2025, Ukraine became the 125th State Party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, russian dictator vladimir putin will not travel to the BRICS summit in Brazil on July 6-7 due to an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
