Statistics Service restores mandatory statistical reporting during war

The State Statistics Service has restored mandatory statistical reporting during the war.

The State Statistics Service announced this, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The report states that the Verkhovna Rada supported amendments to paragraph 1 of the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of the Interests of Subjects of Reporting and Other Documents during the Period of Martial Law or a State of War”.

According to the adopted norms, entrepreneurs, enterprises, institutions and organizations are again obliged to submit statistical and financial reporting to state statistics bodies.

It is noted that these changes have become a response to the needs of the state, business and international partners for reliable and regular data.

In accordance with the amendments to the legislation, regular and mandatory reporting by businesses is restored; the possibility of conducting sample surveys of the population on living conditions, income, employment, agricultural activity and statistical substantiation of social, economic and demographic policy.

The State Statistics Service reports that for most respondents, de facto, nothing changes.

The acceptance of reporting did not stop, and its submission was on a voluntary basis.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in early April 2022, the State Statistics Service suspended the publication of statistical information for the period of martial law or a state of war, as well as for three months after its end.
