AFU General Staff adds new Axis to report due to activation of russians on border of Sumy Region
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added a new Axis to the daily reports on the situation on the front line. This decision was made due to the activation of the military of the aggressor country, the russian federation, on the border of the Sumy Region. This is stated in the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Due to the activation of the enemy in the border of the Sumy Region and the importance of informing the public about the progress of repelling the large-scale armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will report on the course of hostilities in another Axis - the North-Slobozhanskyi Axis in its daily reports from June 16, 2025," it says.
At the same time, the Kharkiv Axis was renamed the South-Slobozhanskyi Axis.
The General Staff also reminded that operational information about the russian invasion is published on official pages three times a day - as of 08:00 am, 04:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of June 16, the analytical project DeepState recorded a new advance of the army of the aggressor country, the russian federation, on the territory of the Donetsk region.
And the day before - on the night of June 15 - DeepState reported on the activity of russian troops in the Luhansk and Donetsk Regions. Then the invaders advanced in the areas of three other settlements.
