Trump and Musk plan to hold phone conversation after quarrel on social networks - Politico

On Friday, June 6, a phone conversation is scheduled between US President Donald Trump and American billionaire Elon Musk after a quarrel on social networks.

This is reported by Politico.

Thus, it is indicated that in an interview with the publication Trump showed imperturbability during a sparring with Elon Musk, which lasted all day on social networks.

Separately, White House aides, after working to convince the President to restrain his public criticism of Musk to avoid escalation, have scheduled a phone conversation with Musk for Friday to negotiate a reconciliation.

"Oh, everything is fine. Everything is going very well, it could not be better," Trump said in a brief phone conversation with the publication, when asked about the very public breakup with his former mega-patron.

It is noted that Trump continued to boast about his approval ratings, saying: "The numbers are going up, these are the highest polls I've ever had, and I have to go."

According to a person close to the White House, aides advised him to focus on the bill and its passage through the Senate, rather than on the conflict with Musk.

One of Trump's posts on the social network Truth Social reflects this restraint.

"I don't mind Elon coming out against me, but he should have done it a few months ago," the US President wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on June 4, billionaire Elon Musk criticized the new tax and spending bill proposed by the Donald Trump administration.

On June 5, Musk said that without him, Trump would not have been able to win the presidential election in the US in the fall of 2024.

And after some time, Musk created a poll on the social network X (Twitter), in which he asked users whether a third political party should be created in the United States. In addition, American billionaire Elon Musk claims that US President Donald Trump is involved in the cases of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
