Kyslytsia criticizes UN General Assembly, where they voted for Horse Day

Former Ukrainian representative to the UN and current First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Serhii Kyslytsia was outraged by the idea of the United Nations General Assembly voting for International Horse Day.

He wrote about this on his page in X.

He drew attention to the fact that the UN General Assembly has more pressing problems, but they put International Horse Day up for a vote.

"Ukraine welcomes the newly elected members of the UN Security Council. I look forward to the day when the composition of the Council will allow it to fulfill its original statutory mission. This is impossible as long as the aggressor state, the russian federation, continues to invade the Council, the members of the UN, and is allowed to exercise the full rights of a permanent member with impunity," he wrote.

According to Kyslytsia, the resolution on the celebration of International Horse Day was proposed by Mongolia. The official recalled that it was Mongolia that violated the Rome Statute when it failed to arrest russian president vladimir putin in September 2024 during his visit.

Recall that on March 17, 2023, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for russian dictator vladimir putin on charges of war crimes. Countries that ratified the Rome Statute were supposed to arrest putin when he appeared on their territory. But Mongolia did not do this.

On September 3, 2024, a spokesman for the Mongolian government said that the country had failed to arrest russian dictator vladimir putin because it was dependent on imports of russian oil products.
