Air Defense neutralizes 52 enemy drones at night
On the night of Monday, June 2, russian troops launched 80 drones and 4 missiles over the territory of Ukraine, and Air Defense Forces managed to neutralize 52 UAVs.
This was announced by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of June 2 (from 09:30 pm on June 1), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 84 air attack vehicles:
- 80 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of simulator drones from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - RF;
- 3 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh Oblast - RF;
- 1 Iskander-K cruise missile from Bryansk Oblast - RF.
The main directions of the air strike were the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk and Kherson Regions.
"As of 08:30 am, air defense neutralized 52 enemy air attack vehicles in the east, south and north of the country: 15 enemy Shahed UAVs (drones of other types) were shot down by fire weapons, 37 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare," the message says.
Enemy air attack vehicles were hit in 12 locations.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of May 31, the russians launched 109 drones and 5 missiles over the territory of Ukraine, and the Air Defense Forces managed to neutralize 69 UAVs and 3 missiles.
