Maryna Poroshenko will be refunded UAH 15,000 that she spent on filing lawsuit against Petro Poroshenko
The Kryzhopilskyi Court of the Vinnytsia Region ordered the Treasury to refund Maryna Poroshenko UAH 15,000 that she paid as a court fee for filing a lawsuit against Petro Poroshenko.
This is evidenced by the court registry, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"To oblige the Main Department of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine in the Vinnytsia Region to return 15,140 (fifteen thousand one hundred forty) hryvnias of the court fee paid for filing a lawsuit in accordance with payment instruction No. 366792 dated March 21, 2025," the decision states.
The lawsuit concerned the division of the Poroshenkos' property.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Poroshenko's wife did not provide the court with evidence of the acquisition of property that she wants to sue her husband for. Neither Maryna Poroshenko nor Petro Poroshenko appeared in court regarding the division of property. The court told what property the Poroshenkos’ want to divide. Maryna and Petro Poroshenko risk being charged with fraud for an attempt to use the court to circumvent sanctions without a subject of dispute, - writes the publication Law and Business, referring to the conclusions of leading lawyers. Experts have already called such actions of the politician attempts to circumvent the law and actually remove the oligarch's assets from the effects of sanctions.
